About

Bearcat Spaceport Cup believes that it is never too early (or late!) to spark one's science and engineering spirit. That is why we are making community STEM outreach to local school districts one of our main goals. We hope that through a short presentation and age range appropriate activity we can help spark students curiosity, excitement and engagement in the engineering and science that is shaping our future.

We are currently looking for opportunities to engage with students in the grades of 1st - 12th, with a greater emphasis on middle and high school (6-12). Presentations and activities geared towards grade groups are listed below, however teachers/administrators are welcome to suggest different topics and activities if they will better suite a lesson plan or unit. Most of our activities are adapted from current NASA Jet Propulsion Lab activities.

If you are interested in having members of the Bearcat Spaceport Cup visit your school and/or classroom, or you would like to discuss our outreach efforts more, contact our Outreach Coordinator: Harrison Stoelting (stoelthd@mail.uc.edu)
