Setting their sights on the Spaceport America Cup, the world's largest intercollegiate rocket engineering conference and competition, the group wants to launch Cincinnati into the upper echelon of Universities in the High Powered Rocketry community. Preparing to compete for the first time in the 10,000 feet AGL apogee commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) solid rocket system category, the team is excited to construct the rocket and the (at least) 8.8 lbs technical and/or scientific payload.
A group of audacious aerospace, mechanical and electrical engineering students came together with a common goal: build an out of this world rocket. The team has gained experience from not only the University's high powered rocketry club, but through industry and research. The team's collective background and enthusiasm for rocketry provides a robust toolbox that enables them to tackle challenging engineering problems.
